Making a schedule of your day can help you look forward to the tasks of the day and help divert your mind from negative thoughts. Create a list of daily tasks and tick them off as you complete them throughout the day. 

When scheduling your daily plans, make sure to set aside some time for rest and leisure activities. If you overburden yourself then depressive thoughts can cause frustration.

  1. Find new ways to relieve stress

Trying new things can be a good thing for you when going through a depressive episode. For example, go for a hike or get a massage, schedule an appointment at a local spa.
