Tips for Aftercare After Your Non-Surgical Nose Job

The short recovery period is one of our clients’ critical motivations for choosing a non-surgical nose operation. One of the key benefits of using fillers over conventional rhinoplasty is this. Essentially, a nose filler in Singapore is a walk-in, walk-out process.

However, aftercare is essential to guarantee you maintain your benefits for as long as possible following any cosmetic procedure.

Many patients want their nose jobs to last as long as possible, based on the questions we receive. We are curiously asked this question a lot: “Can I wear glasses after a nose filler?” This question will be addressed as I provide five recommendations for aftercare following a non-surgical nose job.

Don’t be concerned about any swelling or bruises following a nose job.

You can suffer some slight swelling, redness, itching, and perhaps minor bruising around your nose area just after your non-surgical rhinoplasty. Do not panic or assume something went wrong.

Unlike an hifu facelift, a dermal filler surgery can cause these common side effects, which typically subside in a day or two. As I have explained, a non-surgical nose job is a walk-in walk-out surgery, so you can get right back to your regular routine.

Do this if the bruises and swelling worry you.

Use an icepack to decrease swelling or bruising. Additionally helpful are topical remedies and over-the-counter pain relievers.

Remember, though, that it’s advisable to see your doctor before attempting any of these things. Be sure to consult an appointment with your doctor to ensure everything is well if it has been more than a few days and you are still experiencing swelling.

Is it ok to wear glasses?

After rhinoplasty surgery, plastic surgeons advise patients to wait three months before wearing eyeglasses (both medical and sunglasses). This is because the nose pads on glasses may put pressure on the nose and prevent the nasal bones from adequately mending.

But what if you have a non-surgical nose job and want to wear glasses? How long after your nose filler operation must you wait before you may wear glasses?

This depends. There are essentially no right or wrong answers to these.

However, we advise you to hold off for at least 48 hours. Now, this might be useful for everyone, especially for people who must use prescription glasses. However, it’s crucial to remember that your body typically needs some time to immobilize the fillers. So it’s ideal to always make sure that your glasses are softly resting on your nose bridge when you start wearing them again.

In the days following your nose surgery, refrain from doing the following:

Some activities should be avoided for a few days following your dermal filler nose operation for maximum results. These consist of the following:

  • For 24 hours, avoid using topical skincare products or makeup on the affected region.
  • For at least 48 hours, stay away from demanding exercise because it can exacerbate the bruising.
  • Stay away from hot yoga classes, saunas, and other areas with extreme heat for 1-2 weeks.
  • Aspirin and other blood-thinning medications may cause more bruises and prolong the healing process. If you need to refrain from this for a few days, speak with your doctor in advance.
  • Avoid massaging or pushing your nose because doing so may cause the filler to change shape.
